I Love Paperwork and the State Government
I have to collect a number of paperwork items to present to my new employers including my teaching certificate issued by the State of Wisconsin. I renewed my license in 2012 and on their internet site it shows my timely renewal but I never received the paper copy of my teaching license. When I called their customer service line, I was told to file a replacement application and submit $50 to get a new copy! When I stated that they never mailed me the original copy, I was put on hold. When the man returned to the phone, I got an apology and was told my teachers license was sent to be printed today and I should have it in about 1.5 weeks! I do not know who was more surprised -- me because I got an apology from a governmental agency or the customer service representative because his governmental agency made a mistake!
Well It Starts.....
Well it starts! I am packing up my household so that I can teach overseas for the school years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 in Ankara, Turkey. After living in my rented townhome for 11 years, I have some many more possessions than I thought. I am taking it one closet/drawer at a time. And I am sorting my possessions into 5 piles --- Keep & Store Pile, Throw Out Pile, Take to Goodwill Pile, Sell at a Yard Sale Pile --- and lastly the smallest pile entitled Take With Me Pile. I am trying to take only as many belongings that fit into 3-4 large, wheeled duffel bags.
